nAs a member of the Martin’s Family, the Internal Controls Intern s upports with assessing risk exposure, process improvements, and ensuring compliance with company policy to manage the risk of non-compliance and to deter and detect fraud. The work involves a high level of independent judgment, decision-making, accuracy, creativity, and initiative.
nEssential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties as assigned.)
nnnWork with statistical data analysis tools to create new reports and interpret results.
n
nnPerform compliance testing and analysis, including coordination of robust and timely remediation of deficiencies with business operations.
n
nnParticipate in the identification of business risk, self-assessment, and implementation of business process action plans.
n
nnAssist business operations in processing policy deviation requests.
n
nnProvide internal and/or external analysis, consultation and decision support.
n
nnPrepare, analyze and present various financial and non-financial data.
n
nnAssists with coordinating communication of information between departments.
n
nnFrequent contact and communication with cross functional partners outside the accounting/finance group.
n
nnParticipates in warehouse audits. Some travel required.
n
nnOccasionally instruct and lead projects.
n

nEducation and/or Experience:
nnnHigh School Diploma or GED;
n
nnBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area
n
nnOne to three years’ of industry knowledge and/or business experience;
n
nnStrong understanding of Internal Controls
n
n nComputer Skills:
nnnAbility to learn Oracle BI Discoverer and SQL
n
nnAbility to learn internal data analysis processes and new technologies.
