Job Summary and Responsibilities
nAs our Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will join a well-established Physician Group, Ridgeside Medical, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. nEvery day, you will apply your expertise to provide comprehensive primary/specialty care for adults. This involves meticulous patient assessment, the development of individualized treatment plans, and continuous patient education to promote health and manage chronic diseases effectively.
nTo be successful in your role, you will strategically diagnose and treat adult illnesses, manage chronic conditions, and provide comprehensive primary/specialty care under the supervision of a physician. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and EHR proficiency, meticulously performing exams, ordering tests, and prescribing medications while collaborating effectively with physicians, thereby optimizing health outcomes for adult patients.
nnnConduct thorough physical exams and take detailed medical histories.

nnOrder, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (labs, imaging).

nnDevelop, implement, and manage patient treatment plans.
n
nnPrescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
n
nnProvide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
n
nnCollaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers.

nRequired
nnnCertification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
n
nnActive or eligible License and DEA in the state of Tennessee
n
nnCurrent AHA Basic Life Support certification
n
n nPreferred
nnn1-3 years previous experience (or equivalent experience) as an Advanced Practice Provider in an acute or primary care setting

nnAdvanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
