Physician Assistant (PA)

Overview:
Our surgical practice in Clarksville is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide preoperative and postoperative care for a cardiac and surgical patient population. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday Friday schedule with flexibility, within a collaborative clinical team.
Position Offers:
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, with flexibility
Competitive salary: $134 000 per year (DOE), plus productivity bonuses

Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients for preoperative surgical clearance, including ordering and reviewing labs and EKGs
Conduct patient evaluations and comprehensive clinical assessments
Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care
Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care
Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Coordinate patient care across specialties and services, monitoring progress and communicating updates with the care team
Qualifications:
Active, current Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of experience in primary care or cardiac care
Clinical experience in surgical settings (e.g., cath lab, CVICU, OR, pre-op/post-op) preferred, with EMR proficiency
Ability to work independently
Strong clinical judgment, patient management, communication, and collaboration skills
