Job Description
A Campo, California based client is seeking an excellent Internal Medicine Physician to provide care to adult patients in a community health center. An ideal candidate is a versatile and collaborative Physician who values providing equitable care to all populations. This role involves providing continuing, comprehensive wellness, preventative, and medical care to adults and older adults. The role will involve working both at the Alpine and Campo facilities.
Required Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
Current CA state medical license
Completed an accredited residency program
Current DEA certificate
Board certified in Internal Medicine
Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury; Maintaining the patient record in a timely fashion
Provide narrative summaries in EMR to communicate patient information to other health care providers
Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition
Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results
Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary
Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients
Advise patients concerning diet, activity, and disease prevention
Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary
