Internal Medicine opening in Louisiana Located in Lake Charles, LAFull Time; PermanentEmployedBoard Eligible/CertifiedMaintain patient confidentiality and patient rightsExamine patients to determine presence of disease and to establish preventive health practices.Maintain clinical tracking data for continuity of careAssist the Medical Director with the planning, management and evaluation of health care delivery at the Center for Health ServicesProvide continuous care by obtaining hospital privileges and emergency room coverageParticipate in quality assurance patient review committeeRecords on medical record using POMR systemMaintain current medical recordsDevelop and implement individual work plansMay conduct periodic formal assessments and reviews of subordinate's performanceExhibit judgment to prevent delays in service provision and avoid serious adverse impact on health status of individualsServe as laboratory supervisor of the on-site clinic laboratoryCollaborate with Nurse Practitioners in the same department
