Job Description:
This locum tenens Primary Care Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients within a behavioral health setting, addressing both routine and complex medical needs while working alongside psychiatrists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary providers. The patient population includes individuals experiencing serious mental illness and other significant care barriers, requiring a compassionate, trauma-informed, and patient-centered approach that promotes dignity, stability, and overall wellness. Physicians will be responsible for conducting evaluations, managing chronic and acute conditions, prescribing treatments, coordinating care plans, and ensuring thorough medical documentation. The facility serves a vulnerable and often underserved population, making strong clinical judgment, collaboration, professionalism, and advocacy essential.
