Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) - Spanish-Speaking
Location: Oviedo, FL
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM
Compensation: Starting at $100 per hour, negotiable based on experience
We are seeking an experienced, Spanish-speaking Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join an established practice in Oviedo, Florida. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care, manage acute and chronic conditions, and help patients maintain their overall health and wellness.
We are looking for a physician with strong clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and an interest in future leadership responsibilities, including supporting and potentially supervising nurse practitioners and other mid-level providers.
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory. Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
•Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
•Provide primary care services to patients across appropriate age groups.
•Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions.
•Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
•Prescribe medications and explain treatment options, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
•Educate patients on preventive healthcare, wellness, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
•Support HEDIS quality measures, Medicare Risk Adjustment (MRA), and other quality improvement initiatives.
•Maintain accurate and timely patient records using the electronic health record system.
•Review patient records, medications, allergies, and test results to support safe and effective care.
•Respond to patient portal messages and follow established clinical protocols.
•Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
•Supervise and support medical assistants and help ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.
•Maintain clinic productivity and quality standards.
•Provide clinical guidance and potentially supervise nurse practitioners and other mid-level providers as the practice grows.
•Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
•Provide occasional coverage at nearby St. Cloud offices when needed, with advance notice.
Qualifications
•MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
•Active Florida medical license.
•Background in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
•Relevant primary care experience and strong clinical decision-making skills.
•Fluent in Spanish - required.
•Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred.
•Familiarity with Medicare Advantage, HEDIS measures, and Medicare Risk Adjustment is a plus.
•Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
•Willingness to support and potentially supervise mid-level providers in the future.
•Ability to travel occasionally to nearby St. Cloud offices for coverage.
Work Schedule and Patient Volume
•Full-time, Monday through Friday.
•Eight-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
Compensation
Starting at $100 per hour, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications.
