A physician who provides long-term, comprehensive care in the office and the hospital, managing both common and complex illnesses of adolescents, adults and the elderly. Trained in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, infections and diseases affecting the heart, blood, kidneys, joints and digestive, respiratory and vascular systems. Also trained in the essentials of primary care internal medicine, which incorporates an understanding of disease prevention, wellness, substance abuse, mental health and effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs.Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center.As a Member of the Moffitt Medical Group, provides patient care and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise. Spanning the clinical and research enterprise in support of patient care, research, and education, advances the Institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, FL is expanding and hiring an Internist (MD/DO) in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. We are seeking an Internist Medicine or Family Medicine–trained physician to join our Pre-Anesthesia Testing (PAT) department. This role focuses on evaluating and optimizing patients prior to surgery to ensure safe anesthesia care and reduce day-of-surgery delays or cancellations. The physician will collaborate closely with anesthesia, surgical teams, and nursing staff to assess medical readiness and provide perioperative management to our surgical patients.At Moffitt Cancer Center, we are dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer.
