Internal Medicine Physician
Riverside Internal Medicine in NewportNews, Virginia is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to join our team.
In Your Role
Provide comprehensive care for adult patients, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Perform comprehensive history and physical assessments.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic labs and tests.
Develop and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions.
Coordinate specialty referrals and consultations.
Recognize and respond to emergent situations with life‑saving interventions.
Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Advocate patients’ rights and diverse needs.
Participate in clinic meetings and daily safety huddles.
Engage in continuing medical education and professional development.
Demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and evidence‑based practice.
Maintain regulatory compliance and documentation standards.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
A current, valid medical license to practice in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain one).
A valid DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
