Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join a well-established practice in Towson, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services, manage acute and chronic conditions, and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care to adult patients.
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Perform annual wellness exams, preventive care visits, and health screenings.
Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures.
Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes.
Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.
Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all clinical and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
Required
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
Active Maryland medical license or eligibility for licensure.
Current DEA registration.
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
Previous outpatient primary care experience.
Familiarity with electronic medical records.
Interest in preventive medicine and chronic disease management.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Schedule
Full-Time
Monday through Friday
Shared call schedule with other physicians
No hospital admissions
No inpatient responsibilities
Approximately 30-40 patients per day
