About the Facility Location The Bloomington-Normal area is situated along the historic Route 66 and is home to Illinois State University, offering clinicians on assignment a range of cultural and recreational attractions. Local highlights include Miller Park Zoo, the Children's Discovery Museum, and the Connie Link Amphitheatre, alongside arts festivals and live music events. Clinicians may also explore the Cruisin' With Lincoln on 66 Visitors Center and the McLean County Museum of History, providing varied options for engagement during time away from clinical responsibilities.
About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide inpatient interventional cardiology coverage on a day shift and 24-hour shift basis, with clinic coverage scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM for one to two weeks per month. Weekend call responsibilities are structured from Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:30 AM, and call coverage is a required component of this assignment. Clinicians must maintain continuous availability to respond to inpatient cardiac cases and perform interventional cardiology procedures as credentialed by the facility. Board certification in Interventional Cardiology is required for consideration.
