nJoin Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC), a leading academic medical center in Burlington, MA , as a full-time Interventional Pulmonary Physician . This is a unique opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice with significant leadership roles in education and innovative lung therapies.
nAbout the Role
nYou'll be a vital part of our dynamic Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, contributing to one of the nation's most respected Interventional Pulmonary programs. This position includes a faculty appointment at UMASS Chan or Tufts University School of Medicine, commensurate with your experience (Assistant or Associate Professor).
nKey Leadership Opportunities
nIn addition to comprehensive clinical practice, you'll take on two crucial leadership roles:
nnnAssociate Program Director for the Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship
n
nnDirector of the Bronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction (BLVR) Program
n
n nWhat You'll Do
nClinical Excellence
nnnPerform a full range of interventional pulmonary procedures, including:
n
nnAdvanced bronchoscopy (navigation, robotic, EBUS-TBNA)
n
nnPleural disease management
n
nnBronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction (BLVR) using FDA-approved technologies
n
nnLead and expand the BLVR program , overseeing patient selection, multidisciplinary coordination, procedural excellence, and outcomes tracking.
n
nnProvide inpatient and outpatient care within a collaborative pulmonary practice.
n
n nEducational Leadership
nnnServe as Associate Program Director for the Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship.
n
nnMentor IP fellows, PCCM fellows, residents, and medical students.
n
nnContribute to curriculum development, assessment, simulation training, and scholarly activities.
n
nnFoster an inclusive, diverse, and intellectually stimulating training environment.
n
n nAcademic & Research Engagement
nnnEngage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives related to interventional pulmonary procedures and BLVR.
n
nnParticipate in publications, presentations, and educational symposia.
n
nnDedicated protected time for academic activities .
n
n nWhat We're Looking For
nnnMD or DO degree with completion of an AABIP-accredited Interventional Pulmonology (IP) fellowship.
n
nnBoard-certified/board-eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
n
nnEligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts .
n
nnDemonstrated excellence in teaching and clinical care .
n
nnPrior leadership or mentorship experience is strongly preferred.
n
nnExperience with BLVR , or a strong interest and willingness to lead programmatic development in this area.

nPay Range:
n$300,000.00 USD - $350,000.00 USD
nThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation may be determined based on several factors, that may include education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geography of work location, productivity, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include productivity and quality bonuses.
