Job description
Role: Interventional Radiographer responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images and supporting invasive procedures in a specialized radiology department.
Key Duties
Perform neuro interventional procedures such as aneurysm repairs, cerebral bleeds, embolizations, clot evacuations, and endovenous laser ablations.
Ensure technical proficiency in radiography, radiation safety, and patient care standards.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and documentation of any issues.
Follow department policies, support student programs, and adhere to safety protocols.
Gather patient history, explain procedures, and assist with patient positioning and comfort.
Organize and interpret imaging reports, utilizing HIS, RIS, and PACS systems for workflow management.
Evaluate image quality, recognize normal and abnormal findings, and report to radiologists or supervisors.
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Minimum of one year experience in Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology.
Licensed as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Florida and registered with ARRT in Radiography.
Ability to obtain ARRT registration in Vascular Intervention, Cardiovascular, or Cardiac Interventional within one year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and computer proficiency required.
Skills: Technical radiography skills, patient communication, safety adherence, equipment management, and familiarity with relevant software systems.
