nPER DIEM Interventional Radiology; Cross cover in other areas of radiology including, but not limited to the stress lab, CT, MRI. May require a weekend rotation
nJob Description:
nDuties/Responsibilities:
nnnAssess physical, mental, and psychosocial status of patient using age-appropriate knowledge.
n
nnPlans, evaluates and implements care of patients in the cardiac and pulmonary rehab program as a member of the interdisciplinary team as is indicated in the initial and ongoing assessment.
n
nnParticipates in the planning and delivery of formal and informal educational programs for all patients, family members and the community as is appropriate.
n
nnDocuments information clearly and completely, utilizing the correct format in charting.
n
nnInterfaces with third-party payers to ascertain coverage for services and preadmission requirements which must be met as a condition of payment.
n
nnMaintains accurate records and manages database.
n
nnAssists with planning, implementing and maintaining QA& I activities and monitors.
n
nnEnsures that equipment, supplies are available.
n
nnEnsures that environment is safe, clean and comfortable.
n
nnPrepares area and patients for exercise.
n
nnWork practice reflects philosophy, purpose and policies of the hospital and the department of cardiology.
n
nnAssist with medical emergencies.
n
nnAssists with interviews as needed.
n
nnAssists with clerical duties.
n

nEducation/Experience Required:
nnnGraduate of an accredited school of nursing.
n
nnB.S.N. strongly preferred
n
nnEvidence of continuing education in critical care arena with a cardiac and pulmonary focus.
n
nnDemonstrated ability to plan and deliver formal educational programs which utilize the principles of adult learning.
n
nnDemonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
n
nnDemonstrated proficiency with documentation skills.
n
nnRecent demonstrated critical care expertise with emphasis on cardiac and pulmonary populations.
n
nnACLS certification.
n
nnExperience with cardiac rehabilitation.
n
nnExperience with case management and third party payers preferred.
n
nnDemonstrated knowledge of QA & I.
n
nnDemonstrate experience in exercise tolerance testing for both cardiovascular and pulmonary patients.
n
nnDemonstrate the ability to apply exercise tolerance test results to a patient supervision.
n
nnDemonstrate knowledge of specific hemodynamic responses with regards to exercise.
n
nnDemonstrate advanced knowledge of fitness and wellness concepts.
n
nnDemonstrate knowledge of the effects of exercise on patients with diabetes.
n
nnDemonstrate the ability to supervise and counsel patients with congestive heart failure on medication compliance, symptom management, nutrition, and exercise.
n
nnTelemetry experience
n
n nRegistration/Certification:
nnnCurrent RN Massachusetts License.
n
nnCurrent ACLS & BLS
n
nnAACVPR Certification desired
n
nnWellness Coaching Certification desired
n
nnDiabetes Education Certification desired
n
n nPhysical/Environmental Requirements
nThis job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 - 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.

nPay Range:
n$37.14 - $76.08
nThe pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
