Job description
Interventional Pain Physician -- Intrathecal Pump Program Leadership
Atlanta, GA
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Build Something That Matters
A leading interventional pain management organization in Metro Atlanta is looking for a fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Physician with deep expertise in intrathecal drug delivery systems to lead and grow a dedicated Intrathecal Pump Program.
This is not a standard physician placement. You will have the clinical autonomy, organizational backing, and leadership resources to develop a best-in-class pump program -- while building toward an equity partnership tied directly to the program's growth.
If you are a physician who wants to do more than see patients, this role is worth a conversation.
What You'll Lead
Full clinical oversight of the intrathecal pump service line, including evaluation, implantation, management, and long-term follow-up
Patient candidacy evaluation and individualized treatment planning in collaboration with a seasoned team of physicians and APPs
Pump implantation, replacement, revisions, programming, refills, and troubleshooting
Strategic input on protocols, workflows, and program expansion across the Metro Atlanta market
Mentorship and clinical resource role for intrathecal therapies across the broader practice
What the Organization Offers
Equity partnership pathway tied to the Intrathecal Pump Program
Monday through Friday outpatient schedule -- no nights, no weekends
Established referral network with strong and growing patient demand
Modern procedural facilities with full ancillary and administrative support
Collaborative team culture with experienced interventional pain colleagues and clinical staff
Competitive base compensation
Paid malpractice coverage, PTO, and CME allowance
What You Bring
MD or DO with Board Certification or Eligibility in Pain Medicine
Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management
Demonstrated hands-on experience with intrathecal drug delivery systems
Active Georgia medical license or eligibility to obtain
Interest in program development and long-term practice growth -- not just clinical volume
Why This Role Is Different
Most physician opportunities ask you to step into an existing model. This one asks you to help define it. For a physician who wants clinical excellence, entrepreneurial upside, and a genuine path to partnership -- this is a rare combination in one role.
