Inventory Control / Shipping ClerkThis role is fully onsite in Bloomfield, CT, five days per week. The company will be relocating to Suffield, CT later in 2026. LiquidPiston is an innovative engineering company developing next-generation compact, high-performance rotary engines based on a novel thermodynamic cycle. Our technology is designed to deliver significant improvements in size, weight, efficiency, and power density for applications including defense, aerospace, and commercial markets.The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, supporting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and assisting with the efficient flow of materials throughout the organization.Responsibilities:Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/MRP/Excel systemsPerform daily inventory transactions including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustmentsConduct cycle counts and physical inventory auditsInvestigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causesAssist with inventory reconciliation and reportingShip to customers and suppliersSupport purchasing and materials teams with inventory dataReceive all engine build inventory itemsProcess incoming material documentation and verify quantitiesLabel, organize, and maintain inventory locationsAssist with warehouse organization and material identificationCommunicate inventory concerns to purchasing, production, and management teamsRequired Skills & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required1-3 years of inventory, warehouse, purchasing, or manufacturing experience preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyBasic understanding of inventory control principlesExperience with ERP/MRP/Excel systems preferredStrong organizational and recordkeeping skillsAbility to perform basic data analysis and reportingProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficeAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksBenefits:PTO We value work-life balance and encourage time to rest and recharge.
