Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Inventory Control, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our Distribution Center to company owned branches. You will manage our company inventory within the distribution center by verifying shelf product and quantity through inventory checks. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 2001 Theurer Blvd, Winona, MN 55987. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.Responsibilities:Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label productInspecting quality and accuracy of productsCounting and auditing productUsing a scale for weighing productLocating missing inventoryInspecting and correcting shelf integrityMaintaining the cleanliness and organization of work areaComplying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectationsParticipating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectivesLearning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainingsRequired Position Qualifications:Proficient written and oral communication skillsProficient computer skillsHighly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentWork independently as well as in a team environmentWillingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as neededDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkLift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbsPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)Preferred Position Qualifications:Prior experience operating a forkliftAbout Us: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
