Job description

Inventory PlannerThe Inventory Planner is responsible for developing strategic demand forecasts and determining optimal inventory ownership levels and stocking locations to best support aircraft and maintenance operations. This position involves interaction with a variety of business functions.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze demand, scheduled tasks and other inputs to establish stocking levels that support operations at the least total cost while insuring optimal productivity of inventory.Deploy and use planning and forecasting systems to model inventory requirements. Analyze and recommend the quantity of parts to be purchased or retired due to changes in fleet size and/or stations.Ensure proper provisioning levels are met to support all materials regardless of classification and are properly maintained in the applicable Company software.Allocate and monitor critical parts, Minimum Equipment List and scheduling requirements.Coordinate with Inventory Control, Purchasing, Warranty/Repair and Maintenance Planning as needed, to ensure inventory availability and execute the planning/replenishment process.Run daily, weekly and monthly reports in inventory systems.Accountable for metrics and benchmarks to measure actual inventory performance.Typical office environment, can involve long periods of sitting or standing.Other duties as assigned.Other DutiesOther duties as assignedCompetencies RequiredEthics and Values - Promotes the culture that provides employees a sense of belonging and maintains ethical principles in all work activities.Knows Our Business - Seeks opportunities to upgrade technical and professional skills.Building Trust & Decision Making - Communicates honestly and clearly. Is approachable and friendly.QualificationsBachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience3 to 5 years of experience with a strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance programs to better assist in purchasing and inventory planning decisions preferredExperience working with demand planning and inventory performanceExtensive data analysis skills, especially in Microsoft ExcelStrong ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively to meet given time parameters and maintain a strong attention to detailExperience communicating and working with all levels of an organizationReliable and self-motivatedStrong interpersonal skills with focus on communication and problem resolutionProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel Outlook and preferably, AccessExperience with an inventory management system (PMI) preferredRepetitive motion such as: typingMinimal physical exertion such as: sitting, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbs.Ability to work additional hours which may include evenings and weekendsSome travel may be necessaryWork Environment & Physical DemandsMinimal physical exertion such as: sitting, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbsRepetitive motion such as: typingWhat We OfferProviding world-class service to our customers starts with providing world-class benefits to our employees.
