Inventory Management SmeRequired skills and experience: 7+ years of experience in inventory management, materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain within an industrial environment. Strong SAP experience, including inventory, materials management, and master data functions. Deep understanding of spare parts inventory and MRO materials. Experience managing inventory data, material classifications, and inventory optimization initiatives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work extensively with large datasets. Understanding of plant operations, maintenance processes, and equipment reliability needs. Ability to communicate effectively with both operations personnel and management.Nice to have skills and experience: SAP S/4HANA experience. LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, power generation, or manufacturing experience. Experience with inventory rationalization, critical spare analysis, and storeroom optimization. Knowledge of valves, tubing, piping components, rotating equipment, and industrial spare parts. Previous experience leading inventory improvement or warehouse transformation initiatives.Job description: the inventory management sme is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, organization, and optimization of plant inventory within SAP. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert for inventory and material management processes, supporting plant operations through inventory classification, master data management, spare parts optimization, and inventory governance. The role requires someone who understands both the systems side and the operational side of inventory management, with the ability to work closely with site leadership to establish best practices and improve inventory accuracy. This position will function as a key partner to operations leadership, serving as a trusted advisor on inventory strategy, spare parts management, and material data integrity. Over time, this role has the potential to grow into a broader materials management leadership position.Maintain and improve inventory data accuracy within SAP. Lead inventory setup, standardization, and optimization efforts. Perform inventory reclassification and master data cleanup activities. Analyze inventory records, usage trends, stocking levels, and material attributes. Develop and maintain spare parts strategies for plant equipment and operations. Support inventory governance and material management best practices. Work closely with operations, maintenance, procurement, and warehouse teams to understand inventory requirements. Identify opportunities to reduce inventory risk, improve inventory visibility, and drive operational efficiencies. Generate inventory reports and provide recommendations based on data analysis. Travel periodically to plant locations to validate inventory practices, understand equipment requirements, and build relationships with operational stakeholders.
