Job description
Inventory SupervisorThe Inventory Supervisor has the experience, knowledge, and ability to make decisions instantly (high efficiency, no delays) for nonconforming incoming or outgoing material. The Supervisor is responsible for material evaluating discrepancies and possible impact on production, processing, reliability, and obligation to customers. Additionally, the Supervisor understands needed actions on affected areas and instructions related to the issue or nonconformance.Essential Duties:Always maintains updated inventory statusTrack material flow throughout the various processes and inventory locationsConduct and organize periodic physical countsCoordinate abnormal scrap analysis and disposition and request approval by managementSynchronize material management with support teamsCreate NCR (Non-Conforming Reports)Perform MES (Manufacture Execution System) submissions and approvals for SAPConfirm registrations in MES and correct if incorrectPerform forensic investigation of material flows: e.g., misplacements, on-hold status, and outflowsMaintain the MRB (Material Review Board) files and conduct weekly reviews with managementLead activities during inventory days and publish discrepancy reports as neededSupport production as requiredPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.Qualifications Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Education, Certifications, and Licenses:Education: Basic/Required: High School Diploma, GED (General Education Development) or equivalent required Preferred: Associates Degree or Bachelor's DegreeEssential Qualifications: Minimum of 3+ years of progressive manufacturing/operations experience in a high pace/high volume manufacturing environment Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Detail oriented Strong knowledge and expertise with ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems) Extensive knowledge of MRP systems Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt desirable with continuous process improvement experience Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking EnglishPreferred Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of MES preferred Firsthand knowledge of material flow within the manufacturing processes preferred Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is ideal Strong commitment to inventory accuracy Superior communication and interpersonal skills Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against production deadlines and goals An appreciation of and an ability to positively resolve issues arising from different cultures Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook) preferred Resilient, self-motived and able to work well under pressure Alignment to Panasonic's seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)Physical Demands: Physical Activities: (Percentage of time (equaling 100%) during the normal workday the employee is required to) Sit: 25% Walk: 25% Stand: 25% Lift: 25% Required Lifting and Carrying: (Required frequency is: Not required (0%), Occasional (1-33%), Frequent (34-66%, Continuous (67-100%) Up to 10 lbs.: Continuous Up to 20 lbs.: Continuous Up to 35 lbs.: Continuous Team-lift only (over 35 lbs.): Continuous
