Start: Immediate

Description: Opportunity to conduct and analyze in-depth market research, and spearhead weekly publications to a network of 30,000+ industry contacts on behalf of AGC, the most active global technology mid‑market M&A investment bank. AGC’s Research department coincides with our Marketing and Business Development departments allowing you to oversee all content initiatives of the firm. You will work closely with the CEO and Senior Partners, who are domain experts with deep sector knowledge, to produce in-depth whitepapers that cover key trends and challenges in attractive technology verticals, and include a listing of recent M&A, private placement, and IPO activity. You will direct each insight report through its entire lifecycle – from production to direct collaboration with prospect company CEOs for feedback – to arrive at a high‑quality final product that can be published to thousands of executives and investors through AGC’s marketing channels.

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and strategize content for whitepapers and related reports that cover the key trends and challenges in the technology market

Build market maps and related lists that capture highly relevant software companies within a respective sector/space, create transaction screens to contextualize activity, and identify comps to benchmark valuations

Manage a dynamic group of researchers across BDA, Operations, and Intern teams by developing effective project plans, providing daily instruction and feedback, and carefully monitoring work product

Maintain proprietary databases of public and private software companies and synthesize market data into concise formats for Partner and client consumption, leveraging key findings to develop new content for whitepapers

Further the firm’s private equity and venture capital relationships by tracking investment criteria, portfolio companies, and investment and exit activity

Support AGC conference teams by identifying prospects to invite, preparing keynotes and other presentation materials, and attending conferences to facilitate meetings between companies and investors

Develop and maintain standards, systems, templates and best practices to keep content cutting‑edge

Requirements

2 years of experience preferred

A motivated and tenacious individual with leadership skills and a passion to overcome any challenge

Extremely organized, self‑motivated with effective communication skills (inter‑office and with clients) with a clear ability to establish, enforce, and meet deadlines

Technology savvy and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (familiarity with PitchBook, 451 Research, SourceScrub, and Salesforce are a plus)

Exemplary grammar, messaging, writing, and style

Strong work ethic and personal integrity

Passion for technology and keeping up‑to‑date on industry news and the latest M&A transactions

A successful candidate is one that cares about our mission and views every task as a building block to the success of said mission. That includes hard work, a passion for learning, high intellect, a no‑drama personality, and fun to work with.
