Job description
Selby Jennings is partnering with a well-established middle-market investment bank that is actively seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to work on complex M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions while gaining meaningful client exposure and responsibility from day one.
Responsibilities
Support the execution of M&A, strategic advisory, and capital markets transactions.
Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and operating models.
Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, CIMs, board presentations, and marketing documents.
Conduct industry, company, and market research to support transaction processes and business development efforts.
Participate in due diligence, data room management, and coordination with clients, investors, legal counsel, and other advisors.
Manage workstreams across multiple live transactions simultaneously.
Assist senior bankers with client relationship management and new business development initiatives.
Mentor and oversee junior team members as appropriate.
Qualifications
1-6 years of investment banking experience.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Experience executing M&A transactions and/or capital raising assignments.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Strong attention to detail and project management capabilities.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
