Job description
We are seeking an experienced Investment Counsellor with strong fixed income expertise and a broad understanding of investment strategies.
This role will partner with clients and relationship managers to deliver tailored investment guidance, communicate market insights, and align portfolios with clients' financial objectives and risk profiles.
Responsibilities
Provide investment advice and portfolio guidance to Portuguese-speaking clients.
Develop tailored investment strategies across fixed income and other asset classes.
Evaluate fixed income opportunities, including government and corporate bonds, with a focus on credit quality, duration, yield, and liquidity.
Review portfolio performance, asset allocation, and risk exposure;
recommend adjustments as market conditions and client needs evolve.
Translate economic trends and market developments into clear, actionable investment insights.
Partner with relationship managers to support client meetings, investment proposals, and ongoing portfolio reviews.
Ensure recommendations comply with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in investment advisory, portfolio management, or a related role.
Portuguese fluency required, with the ability to discuss complex investment concepts confidently.
Strong knowledge of fixed income markets, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment strategies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
CFA designation or progress toward the designation preferred.
Series 7 highly preferred
