Job description
My client is a nationally recognized law firm seeking an Investment Management Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its Investment Management Practice Group in New York. The role offers the opportunity to advise private fund sponsors, investment advisers, and institutional investors on sophisticated private fund formation, transactional, and regulatory matters.
Responsibilities:
Advise private fund sponsors, investment advisers, and institutional investors on investment management matters.
Assist with private fund formation, structuring, fund documentation, and related transactions.
Advise clients on Investment Advisers Act requirements and investment management regulatory matters.
Support matters involving private equity, real estate, hedge funds, and other alternative investment vehicles.
Assist with co-investments, secondary transactions, and separately managed accounts.
Conduct legal research and draft sophisticated transactional and regulatory documents.
Work collaboratively with attorneys and clients on complex investment management matters.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
3–5 years of investment management, private funds, or related corporate experience.
Experience with private fund formation, fund documentation, and related transactions.
Working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act and investment management regulatory matters.
Experience with co-investments, secondary transactions, and separately managed accounts is a plus.
Strong academic credentials, drafting skills, and attention to detail.
Admission to the applicable state bar.
Competitive salary range of $260,000–$365,000 annually, plus at-market bonuses.
