Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology Travel Job in Hermiston, Oregon

Job Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Active Registered Nurse license in Oregon
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
At least 1 year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or Interventional Radiology
Strong knowledge of sterile technique, moderate sedation support, and procedural patient monitoring
Ability to work effectively with patients across all age groups and diverse backgrounds
BSN preferred
Interventional Radiology, cath lab, monitor role, and conscious sedation experience preferred
RCIS , NIH Stroke Scale, and IV certification preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
Responsibilities Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing angiography, embolization, cardiac catheterization, and other minimally invasive procedures
Support the procedural team in circulating, scrubbing, monitoring, and peri-procedure nursing roles as needed
Administer medications including anticoagulants, vasoactive agents, contrast, and emergency medications per protocol
Maintain sterile technique and assist physicians during invasive procedures
Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, oxygenation, ventilation, and patient response during moderate sedation
Recognize and respond quickly to complications such as bleeding, arrhythmia, contrast reactions, stroke alerts, and cardiac arrest
Assist with patient preparation, identification, procedure verification, timeout processes, and vascular access management
Document supplies, implants, contrast usage, procedural events, and patient responses accurately
Support inventory organization, room turnover, and equipment readiness to help keep the department running efficiently
Serve as a patient advocate while promoting safe, high-quality care throughout the procedure
