Join an Exceptional Organization with more than 70 years in the New Mexico Medical Community. X-Ray Associates of New Mexico is hiring a Full Time Interventional Radiology Technologist.
The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for procedures, assisting physicians during exams, maintaining sterile technique, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. This role also assists with inventory management, specimen preparation, patient scheduling, and compliance with departmental policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
* Assist radiologists during interventional procedures.
* Prepare patients and explain procedures in a professional and compassionate manner.
* Maintain sterile fields and assist with specialized procedural equipment.
* Operate radiographic equipment and obtain high-quality images.
* Monitor patients during procedures and communicate changes in patient condition.
* Prepare and process specimens for pathology when required.
* Maintain inventory of catheters, guidewires, stents, and procedural supplies.
* Document procedures and patient information accurately.
* Support quality patient care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and safety regulations.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
* ARRT registered or registry eligible.
* Current New Mexico Certified Radiologic Technologist License required.
* CPR Certification required.
* Strong communication and patient care skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
* Experience in Interventional Radiology preferred but not required.
