nOverview
nThe IS Design Manager is responsible for the design production throughout the life cycle of a project from development handoff to construction closeout. This position ensures that the project is delivered efficiently and effectively in accordance with the schedule and energy outcomes while exceeding the client's expectations. The manager is also responsible for the utilization of the production staff assigned to the project team.
nResponsibilities
nSpecific responsibilities include:
nnnSupports the day-to-day management of design tasks, ensuring timely progress, accurate documentation, and alignment with project goals.

nnGuides and assigns tasks to junior staff, monitors performance, and provides mentorship to support team development and efficiency.
n
nnEnsures adherence to design standards and safety protocols while helping implement process updates and conducting initial quality checks.
n
nnAssists in tracking labor hours and budgets, reviews time entries for accuracy, and contributes to resource planning.
n
nnFacilitates clear communication between staff, project managers, and leadership, and supports client interactions under supervision.
n
nnParticipates in team activities, promotes a positive culture, and handles additional responsibilities as assigned.

n nQualifications
nRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications
nnnBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
n
nn5+ years of design related experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management experience.
n
nnExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
nnStrong leadership skills.
n
nnAttention to safety.
n
nnStrong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
n
nnProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
n
nnProficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCad software packages.
n
n nPreferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
nnnEngineering Intern (EI) certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
n
nnPMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
n
n nTravel Requirements
nn25% of the time will be spent traveling to the job site(s)/office locations.

nPay Range
nUSD $118,625.00 - USD $152,660.00 /Yr.
