A growing closed-door pharmacy specializing in Home Infusion services is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in sterile compounding, particularly TPN management. This role emphasizes clinical patient management over production, providing an opportunity to collaborate closely with dietitians, physicians, and pharmacy staff to ensure optimal care for patients receiving infusion therapy.
Located in Orange, CA, this full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The role is a 13-week contract to hire.
Responsibilities:
Clinically manage and monitor patients on TPN therapy, including reviewing formulations, lab results, and therapy progress.
Collaborate effectively with dietitians, physicians, and pharmacy staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
Provide patient counseling and education about medications and infusion therapy.
Oversee sterile compounding processes as necessary, ensuring compliance with USP standards.
Serve as a clinical resource and leader within the pharmacy, facilitating communication across clinical and non-clinical teams.
Ensure sterile preparations and pharmacy practices align with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of recent, strong experience in sterile compounding and clinical pharmacy.
Proven expertise managing TPN patients and clinically managing TPN therapy.
Experience working collaboratively with dietitians and healthcare providers.
Strong patient counseling and clinical communication skills.
Ideally licensed or willing to promptly obtain Pharmacist licenses in Mississippi and Alabama.
Solid knowledge of USP standards and sterile pharmacy practices.
Home Infusion experience is highly preferred.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to engage with a multidisciplinary team and patients.
