Janitor and GroundskeeperBrookville Warehouse - Brookville, PAOverviewSalary Range $15.00 Hourly Position Type Full TimeDescriptionPurpose:To perform janitorial duties as assigned.Will be responsible for grounds keeping of Goodwill Warehouse location.Individual would have some indoor store duties for part of the work day.Essential Function and Responsibilities:General housekeeping and safety.Performs other related activities as Directed by the Lead Janitorial Worker.Maintain landscaping and grounds daily including trash removal, sweeping or otherwise cleaning of parking lot, sidewalks, building perimeter, and surrounding store property.Maintain the landscape and grounds in the spring, summer, and fall seasons, including mowing trimming, weed control, pruning, mulching, leaf removal, and similar duties.Maintain landscaping and grounds during the winter months and inclement weather periods including removal of snow and ice from parking lots and sidewalks by using appropriate equipment including salt spreaders, snow blower, and snowplow.Assist with morning donation center cleanup.Other indoor tasks as assigned by store management.Relations:Reports directly to Plant ManagerStandards for Measuring Performance:Degree to which standards are reached.Degree to which respect and confidence of co-workers is established.Quality, quantity, and timeliness in the performance of assigned tasks.The manner in which the individual reflects his/her overall personal appearance both in following the Goodwill Dress Code and personal hygiene.The manner in which one's conduct reflects the high standards of morals and integrity expected of all Goodwill associates.Ability to meet deadlines and respond to special requests and the desires of management.QualificationsQualifications:High school graduate or equivalent preferred, but on-the-job training is provided.Must have good work habits, such as acceptable attitude and punctuality.Must respond appropriately to supervision.Prior landscaping, snow plowing, and forklift experience required.It is necessary to be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, reach, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.The position will require operating equipment such as a mower, trimmer, blowers, salt spreader, forklift and a pick-up truck with a snowplow.Position requires motivated individual with ability to prioritize tasks.Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.General building maintenance: sweep floors, empty trash, wash windows, sweep/shovel sidewalks as directed.Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.Other related duties as directed.
