Looking for a Finance Manager role where you can make a direct impact in a growing global business? We're seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented professional to lead day-to-day finance, accounting, and administrative operations for the U.S. subsidiary of an international manufacturing and technology company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative small-office environment, enjoys balancing strategic financial coordination with day-to-day accounting responsibilities, and can confidently work across teams in both the U.S. and Japan.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily finance and accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, collections, invoicing, and bookkeeping in QuickBooks
Support monthly and year-end close processes in coordination with external accounting firms
Review financial statements, analyze variances, and report financial insights to corporate leadership
Coordinate Sales Tax compliance, business registrations, and transfer pricing documentation with external advisors
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Identify process improvements and support the development of company policies and operational controls
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure audit readiness
Support office administration functions, vendor coordination, facility operations, and corporate documentation as needed
Collaborate with U.S. and Japan-based teams to support cross-functional business operations and financial alignment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
5-10 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably within multinational, trading, or manufacturing environments
Strong hands-on experience using QuickBooks for daily accounting operations
Proven ability to independently manage monthly closing preparation and financial data coordination
Native-level Japanese fluency (written and verbal) with professional English communication skills
Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and communication practices for effective collaboration with headquarters in Japan
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, reporting, and data tracking
Flexible, hands-on professional willing to support accounting, administrative, and general office functions as needed
Comfortable working in a collaborative small-office environment with a team-oriented mindset
Stable work history demonstrating reliability, long-term commitment, and professional growth
