Sales Engineer (Mechanical / Structural Engineering)Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (1 hr lunch)Working style: Direct hire, Full-timeLocation: Durham, NC or Remote from home office within the USSummary:We are expanding strategically into North America with the launch of a new office in Durham, NC. As a founding member of this location, the Sales Engineer will play a critical role in both technical engineering support and business development. The ideal candidate will help grow the company by identifying potential customers and acting as a coordinator to facilitate work transfers from clients. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, client engagement, and leadership, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and collaboration.Essential Duties:- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients by understanding their technical needs and making effective proposals.- Support business development activities such as trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.- Serve as a liaison between clients and internal engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.- Contribute to the establishment and growth of new offices as a founding member.- Inspect and advise on deliverables.- Writing documents such as emails and reports.- Accompanying on business trips within the US.- Assisting in client development.Compensation/Benefits:- 5 days of sick leave (1st year of employment will be 3 days of sick leave)- Vacation- Health, Dental, Vision Ins.- Retirement plan- Relocation cost assistance: up to $3,000Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.- 10+ years of experience in mechanical / structural engineering roles is preferred.- At least 3 years of experience in project management or project leadership.- Ability to use MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.- Willingness to travel within the U.S. as needed.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working for a Japanese company.- Japanese (Beginner)- Proficiency in 3D CAD.
