Job Description Job Description About the Role: Saban Onyx is looking for a detail-obsessed Jewelry Quality Control specialist to join our team in the heart of New York, NY. Responsibilities: Inspect finished and in-process jewelry pieces for defects in craftsmanship, finish, and gemstone setting
Evaluate metal quality, prong integrity, clasp functionality, and surface polish
Document and report quality issues, defects, and non-conformances accurately
Collaborate with production and design teams to resolve quality concerns
Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications before shipment
Maintain detailed QC logs and inspection records
Identify opportunities for process improvement to reduce defect rates
Requirements: Prior experience in jewelry quality control, inspection, or production
Strong knowledge of fine jewelry construction, gemstone setting, and metalworking
Exceptional attention to detail and visual acuity
Familiarity with QC documentation and reporting processes
Ability to use loupes, microscopes, or other inspection tools
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
GIA certification or equivalent gemological training is a plus
