ABOUT THE TEAM

The Employment Service Department assist with job advancement, job training, employer outreach, and job retention for supporting individuals. The Employment Service Team helps achieve each individual's goals at their job sites.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL:

Directly supervise Job Coaches through regular one-on-one meetings, coaching, feedback, performance evaluation, accountability, and professional development; model sound judgment, professionalism, respectful communication, and person-centered leadership.

Develop and manage weekly schedules and assignments, balancing individual support needs, staff availability, geography, continuity, authorized services, and efficient use of hours.

Coordinate coverage for call-outs, leave, vacancies, schedule changes, and emerging needs; communicate changes promptly and ensure assigned coverage is completed.

Partner with RECs and Employment Consultants to translate person-centered plans, goals, preferences, task analyses, support strategies, accommodations, safety considerations, and fading plans into clear Job Coach direction.

Observe services, review documentation, and gather feedback as appropriate to monitor quality, consistency, safety, cultural responsiveness, and whether supports promote choice, independence, natural supports, and successful employment outcomes.

Track participant outcomes and the impact of Job Coaching, including progress toward employment goals, skill and task mastery, increased independence, fading of paid supports, use of natural supports, expanded job responsibilities or hours, retention, and advancement; use findings to adjust support strategies and inform program improvement.

Lead Job Coach onboarding and competency-based training; identify ongoing development needs, coach staff in best practices, and maintain consistent standards of practice across job sites.

Support recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and retention of Job Coaches with the Program Director and Human Resources, promoting a qualified and diverse workforce.

Track staffing capacity, utilization, scheduled versus actual hours, and coverage gaps; recommend staffing, scheduling, or workflow adjustments based on participant and program needs.

Ensure Job Coach documentation is accurate, timely, person-centered, confidential, and compliant with organizational and funder requirements; follow up on gaps and recurring quality concerns.

Manage Job Coach attendance, timekeeping, professionalism, leave, and performance concerns in coordination with the Program Director and Human Resources, including timely coaching and corrective action when needed.

Build a cohesive Job Coach team through regular meetings, clear communication, conflict resolution, shared problem solving, peer learning, recognition, and opportunities for staff input and ownership.

Ensure Job Coaches understand and appropriately respond to health, safety, rights, emergency, incident, and workplace concerns; reinforce person-specific plans, organizational procedures, required reporting, and appropriate escalation.

Coach staff on task analyses, natural supports, accommodations, fading strategies, assistive technology, self-advocacy, and adapting supports as workplace expectations or individual needs change.

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with employers, families, community partners, and other service providers; support Job Coaches in advocating for inclusive employment, effective workplace supports, and opportunities for participant growth while respecting individual choice and confidentiality.

Provide direct job coaching, Follow Along, or emergency coverage when needed and consistent with management responsibilities, modeling high-quality, culturally responsive, person-centered support.

Partner with Employment Services leadership on workflows, staffing models, service quality, compliance, communication, data, outcomes, and continuous improvement; remain current on relevant regulations, evidence-based employment practices, technology, and professional development.

ABOUT YOU Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities, preferably in employment services.

At least 1 year of staff supervision experience.

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Knowledge of supported and customized employment practices.

Understanding of person-centered planning, job coaching, natural supports, and fading strategies.

Strong knowledge of documentation, workplace professionalism, and inclusive employment practices.

Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Strong coaching, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Ability to use data to inform decisions and improve services.

Valid driver's license
