Production AssociateLocation: St. Louis, MO, US, 63114 Business Unit: Thermal Process ManagementWe are looking for a knowledgeable Production Associate who is able to set up, prepare and operate machines and assemble products based on drawings. The ideal candidate will need to have attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and other personnel.Responsibilities:Perform assembly of components and install into enclosures.Will be required to use a variety of power saws, routers and drillsPerforming routine maintenance and cleaning of work area and tools on daily and weekly basis.Recording and reporting production data and performance indicators.Will be required to lift up to 50 pounds individually and team lift up to 120 pounds.Will need to be able to work independently after being trained.Required Experience & Education:High School diploma or equivalentAt least 18 years of age5 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environmentCore Competency Requirements:Proficient with measuring devices, tape measures, square, rulers, calipers, etc.Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprintsCarpentry skillsComputer skillsCritical thinking abilitiesProficiency with hand toolsComfortable using power saws, routers, and drillsMechanical aptitudeProblem-solving skillsAdaptability and willingness to learn new skills to help in other departments as neededFlexibility to work overtime, weekendsStamina to stand and walk for 8-to-10-hour shiftsAbility to be forklift certifiedWe Offer:Health insuranceVision InsuranceDental InsuranceLife InsuranceShort Term Disability / Long Term Disability401(k) Retirement Plan with Company matchPaid Time OffTuition reimbursementEmployee Engagement - Company sponsored eventsOpportunities for Career AdvancementAbout O'Brien Corporation:For over 50 years, O'Brien, a business of AMETEK®, has been a trusted partner to the petrochemical, refining, pulp & paper, and power industries.
