SoldererLocation: Westerly, RI, US, 02891 Business Unit: Engineered Interconnects & PackagingJob Description: The Solderer is responsible for assembling of product components and hand soldering of connectors. To ensure success in this role, you should possess a strong knowledge of product assembly and experience in a similar industry. This position performs assembling and soldering electrical components, systems, and assemblies and will follow procedures for soldering connector ends as well as assembly of connectors. All solderers will be certified to the J-STD 001 if not already certified. Solders may require crimping contacts to conductors per router, drawing and procedure when applicable.Key Responsibilities:Performing hand soldering of electrical assembliesExperience with hand crimping of a variety of contact stylesAbility to read and work from assembly prints, schematics and proceduresMinding quality and detailed working with precision and careMaintaining a clean and safe workstationQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent, associate degree in technical field preferredTwo+ years in an equivalent role with extensive hands-on experienceExperience with soldering of connectorsExperience with assembly and termination of coax connectors and ethernet products preferred but not requiredDemonstrated ability to carry out defined tasks independently with minimum supervisionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsJ-STD 001 certification preferred but not required (will certify on site)IPC A620 preferred
