Journeyman Automotive Technician - GM Dealership
Modern Auto Company - Washington, MO 63090
Pay: $25-$45 per hour
Modern Auto Company - a Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC dealership - is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our growing service department. We're looking for a skilled technician who can handle a wide range of diagnostics and repairs and wants to work in a professional, team-oriented GM dealership with steady work and strong support.
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical and electrical issues on GM vehicles
Perform maintenance, brake work, suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and drivability repairs
Use GM factory diagnostic equipment and service information
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
Perform multi-point inspections and recommend needed services
Accurately document work performed and communicate with service advisors
Follow GM procedures and safety standards
Qualifications Journeyman-level technician experience
ASE certifications and/or GM training preferred
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and manage workflow
Experience in a dealership environment preferred
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
