Job description
Electrician – Journeyman$37,500 – $78,000 Full TimeInstalling new and repairing existing electrical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential locations.Responsibilities and Duties:Installing power supply wiring and conduitTroubleshooting electrical componentsInstalling, maintaining, and repairing electrical systemsTesting electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of systemEnsuring code compliance of electrical instillationsQualifications and Skills:License Journeyman (preferred)3 years of experience in commercial/industrial electricalAbility to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systemsUnderstand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by our clientExperience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipmentStrong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientationMaintaining current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulationsBenefits:Excellent WagesShift PremiumsVacation & Holiday PayPersonal DaysHealth & Disability InsuranceLife Insurance401k Retirement PlanComprehensive Safety ProgramTraining, Internships & SeminarsPhysical Requirements:Lift and carry materials and tools, often 25-50 pounds regularly and 75-100 pounds occasionallyPush, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and crawl in tight spaces.Climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs frequently.Work overhead for extended periods while installing conduit, wiring, or fixturesStand and walk for much of an 8-10 hour day.Work in various weather conditions if outdoorsGood near vision to identify wire colors, read blueprints, and inspect electrical components.Ability to distinguish colors accurately, as color-coded wiring is essential in many electrical systems (some employers can provide reasonable accommodations depending on the job).Requirements:As a condition of employment, all employees must furnish and utilize a smart phone with internet capability and access for daily work related time keeping purposes.Area Energy & is an equal opportunity employer that sees diversity as a positive force in a drug-free workplace.
