Journeyman Electrician - GM Warren Annex C - Skilled TradesAramark Facilities Management is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support the General Motors Global Technical Center, a large, non-manufacturing campus listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician with a strong commercial/industrial background who is comfortable working with high-voltage systems in a complex facilities environment.Job Responsibilities:Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systemsWork with high-voltage systems (up to 480V), power distribution, switchgear, transformers, and UPS systemsRead and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and printsBend and install conduit; pull wire; install electrical fixtures and controlsPerform root cause analysis and advanced electrical troubleshootingUtilize CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo) for work orders and documentationTest electrical components for voltage, current, continuity, and resistanceSupport plant engineering and project teams on equipment installation and upgradesCoach and mentor apprentices as assignedOperate lifts, forklifts, and work safely at heightsFollow all GM Global Technical Center and Aramark safety policiesQualifications:Active State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license or Journeyman cardMinimum 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)Strong working knowledge of NEC standards and electrical safety practicesAbility to work independently or as part of a skilled trades teamStrong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skillsPhysically capable of performing trade duties, including lifting and working at heightsAbout Aramark:Rooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.
