Journeyman Plumber, Facility ServicesWM Supercenter # Charlotte Pike Nashville, TN Shifts may varyPosition SummaryThe Journeyman Plumber, Facility Services, plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities by performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs. This position involves diagnosing plumbing issues, executing repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role requires collaboration with management and contractors to support operational needs, manage work orders, and maintain equipment. The Journeyman Plumber responds promptly to emergencies and contributes to continuous improvement efforts, supporting the overall efficiency and reliability of facility services.What You'll DoPerform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.Inspect facilities and document signs of wear, recommending necessary repairs or replacements to prevent future issues.Utilize blueprints, manuals, and tools to diagnose and resolve plumbing problems efficiently.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate with contractors as needed.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, parts usage, and expenses.Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.Participate in on-call rotation to support critical facility needs outside regular hours.What You'll BringProven experience in plumbing and facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance and repair of equipment and fixtures.Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.Skilled in operating hand and power tools, hoists, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.Strong documentation skills for maintenance activities, work orders, and warranty claims.Capability to respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations.Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with managers, contractors, and coworkers.Minimum QualificationsValid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. 2 years' experience in the plumbing trade. Licensed Journeyman Plumber or equivalent in good standing in the state of work.
