Job Description
Our client located in the Chicago Loop is looking for a Jr level Linux Systems Engineer to join their infrastructure team in this direct hire position. This company has doubled in size over the last 6 months and offers significant career growth.
Responsibilities:
Remote administration and deployments
Maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated infrastructure configuration
Desktop support, PBX and network management
Design and uphold documentation and procedures
Work closely with client IT personnel
Requirements:
2+ years of Linux and any of the LAMP stack technologies such as Apache, Java / JVM, MySQL, and PHP, Ruby, Perl (or Python)
Desktop support, client services, or other user interaction
Web-based startup experience
Automated configuration deployment and systems scripting
Understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS / BIND, LDAP, SMTP
VMWare, KVM, Xen or AWS
DevOps and Continuous Delivery ability
Team oriented, collaborative, excellent problem solving, verbal & written communication skills
