nPosition Overview
nWe are seeking a part-time year round detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our team with bookkeeping, tax, and general accounting support duties. This role is ideal for an accounting professional seeking flexible, part-time hours in a public accounting environment.
nKey Responsibilities
nAssist with firm accounts receivable and accounts payable
nPerform bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance for client accounts
nReconcile bank and credit card statements
nPrepare journal entries and supporting workpapers
nAssist with month-end and year-end close processes
nCommunicate with clients to request documentation and clarify information
nAssist senior accountants and partners with special projects
nAssist with tax support of individual and business tax returns
nQualifications
nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or currently pursuing degree)
n1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred (public accounting experience a plus)
nFamiliarity with tax preparation and accounting software
nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills
nAbility to manage multiple deadlines, especially during tax season
nProfessional communication skills
nPreferred Qualifications
nExperience with QuickBooks (Online and Desktop)
nExperience preparing individual (1040) and small business returns
