Junior Loan Processor
Cranford, NJ · Full-time, on-site · Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm
About Unitas
Unitas Funding is a direct lender for real estate investors nationwide, providing short-term financing for 1–4 family and multi-family acquisitions, ground-up construction, and development deals.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Loan Processor to help move real estate investor loans from application through underwriting. You will serve as the key liaison between borrowers, brokers, and our underwriting team, keeping files organized and every loan on schedule. This is an entry-level position, and comprehensive training is provided.
Responsibilities
File preparation: Collect and review borrower documentation, such as purchase contracts, bank statements, and rehab budgets, and prepare loan summaries for underwriting.
Pipeline management: Track timelines, clear conditions, and flag potential delays early.
Third-party coordination: Order and track appraisals, title, inspections, and credit reports, working with settlement companies and closers to keep everything aligned.
Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for brokers, borrowers, account executives, underwriters, and closers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A dependable, service-oriented approach
No prior loan processing experience required
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000, with annual bonus potential
