Job description
EverStaff is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Junior Recruiter to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people, working in a fast-paced environment, and helping candidates identify new career opportunities.
The Junior Recruiter will assist with sourcing, screening, and presenting candidates for positions across several industries, including manufacturing, skilled trades, legal, accounting and finance, human resources, administrative, call center, engineering, and information technology. The recruiter will work closely with experienced team members while learning the complete recruiting and placement process.
Responsibilities
Source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, internal databases, and direct outreach.
Review resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet client requirements.
Conduct initial telephone and video interviews.
Discuss candidates’ experience, skills, compensation expectations, availability, and career goals.
Present job opportunities clearly and answer candidate questions.
Prepare candidate summaries and submit qualified individuals for review.
Coordinate interviews between candidates and clients.
Follow up with candidates throughout the interview and hiring process.
Maintain regular communication with candidates to provide updates and gather feedback.
Update candidate records, notes, and activity in the applicant tracking system.
Assist with reference checks, onboarding requirements, and pre-employment documentation.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
Meet weekly recruiting, outreach, interview, and placement goals.
Represent EverStaff professionally and provide a positive candidate experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Previous recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, or business-development experience is helpful.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with new candidates.
Ability to build relationships and establish trust quickly.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple positions, candidates, and priorities.
Comfortable working in a goal-oriented and performance-driven environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn applicant tracking and recruiting systems.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
What Success Looks Like
The successful Junior Recruiter will consistently identify qualified candidates, maintain organized and accurate records, communicate effectively, and provide dependable follow-up. Over time, this individual will develop the confidence and recruiting knowledge needed to independently manage searches and build lasting relationships with candidates and clients.
