Department: Justice Integration / Outreach

Reports To: Director of Operations or Justice Integration Program Supervisor

Employment Status: Full‑Time

FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt (unless otherwise designated)

Location: Phoenix, AZnPosition Summary nThe Justice Liaison serves as the primary point of contact between Sanctuary Recovery Centers and justice system partners, including courts, probation, parole, and reentry programs. This role is responsible for strengthening referral relationships, supporting client compliance with justice‑involved requirements, and coordinating services that promote treatment engagement, stability, and reduced recidivism for justice‑involved individuals.nThe Justice Liaison acts as a structured bridge between justice systems, treatment teams, and community resources to ensure clear communication, accountability, and continuity of care.nEssential Duties and Responsibilities nnServe as the primary liaison between Sanctuary Recovery Centers and justice system partners, including courts, probation officers, parole officers, specialty courts, and diversion programs

nMaintain regular communication with justice partners regarding referrals, participant progress, compliance issues, and program requirements

nSupport justice‑involved clients in understanding and complying with court‑ordered or program‑required conditions

nCoordinate with internal clinical teams, case management, and peer support staff to align treatment services with justice system expectations

nAssist in intake coordination and referral processing for justice‑involved clients entering services

nProvide structured support and advocacy to reduce barriers related to housing, employment, transportation, and treatment engagement

nDocument all interactions, referrals, and coordination activities accurately and timely in required systems

nParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case staffing, and justice‑focused program planning

nRepresent Sanctuary Recovery Centers at justice system meetings, outreach events, and community collaborations as assigned

nMaintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, ADHS, and organizational policies

nPerform other related duties as assigned to support justice integration initiatives

n nQualifications nRequired Qualifications: nnHigh school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or higher preferred

nExperience working with justice‑involved populations, behavioral health, addiction treatment, or reentry services

nStrong knowledge of court systems, probation/parole processes, or justice‑involved service coordination

nExcellent communication, organization, and follow‑through skills

nAbility to build and maintain professional relationships with external partners

nStrong documentation and time‑management skills

nAbility to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality

n nPreferred Qualifications: nnBachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Behavioral Health, or related field

nExperience in a liaison, outreach, case management, or peer support role

nKnowledge of trauma‑informed care, motivational interviewing, or solution‑focused approaches

nFamiliarity with electronic health records or case management systems

n nWork Environment & Physical Requirements nnWork performed in office, treatment, court, and community settings

nMay require travel to courts, probation offices, or partner locations

nAbility to sit, stand, walk, and engage directly with clients and external partners

APS Registry : Candidates must pass an APS (Adult Protective Services) registry check before an offer of employment can be extended.

Confidentiality : All information obtained during the background check, drug screening, and APS registry check process will be kept confidential and used solely for employment purposes.

Compliance : Sanctuary Recovery Centers complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding background checks, drug screenings, and APS registry checks.
