If you thrive in a fast-paced setting, enjoy working with diverse patient populations, and want to gain valuable experience with a leading healthcare system, this could be the perfect fit!Why You'll Love This OpportunityBuild your experience with one of California's top healthcare organizationsWork with patients of all ages and backgroundsGain exposure to a high-volume hospital and laboratory settingBe part of a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional patient careExpand your skills in a fast-paced, hands-on clinical environmentWhat We're Looking ForActive California CPT License required6+ months of inpatient or outpatient blood draw experienceFlexible availability to work various shifts between 4:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including weekendsWhat You'll Be DoingAs a Phlebotomist, you'll play a critical role in the patient experience by ensuring accurate specimen collection while delivering outstanding service and compassionate care.Responsibilities include:Performing venipuncture and specimen collection in a fast-paced healthcare environmentPreparing patients for blood draws and explaining procedures with confidence and professionalismHelping anxious or nervous patients feel comfortable throughout the collection processAccurately verifying patient information and labeling specimensMaintaining detailed and accurate patient records and documentationFollowing all safety, infection control, and laboratory protocolsPreparing and organizing collection supplies, including needles, tubes, vials, and specimen containersCoordinating with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate specimen processingReceiving and processing specimens delivered to the laboratorySupporting physicians, nurses, and laboratory personnel as neededPerforming additional duties to help support patient care and department operationsWork EnvironmentThis is a fully onsite position located in Harbor City, CA. You'll work in a busy hospital and laboratory setting that serves a diverse patient population across all age groups. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
