Job description
Finance AssistantThe Finance Assistant will support the campaign's fundraising operation through donor research, donor management, and call time preparation. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, technically capable, and eager to learn the basics and mechanics of political fundraising. The position is based in Madison, Wisconsin and will begin at approximately 20 hours per week, with the capacity to expand to full-time as the campaign grows. Compensation is $15/hour.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, build, and manage call time listsJump in to assist with call time as neededConduct donor research and assist with prospecting for high-dollar call timeHelp manage relationships with major donors and Finance Committee membersHandle event follow-up, including donor thank-yous, pledge trackingMaintain and update donor records, spreadsheets, and databasesSupport weekly finance tasks, including reporting, data cleanup, and list pullsQualificationsStrong technological skills and comfort working with Google SheetsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage large listsClear verbal and written communication skillsAbility to learn quickly and take direction in a fast-paced campaign environmentInterest in Democratic politics and fundraisingPersonal AttributesOrganized, reliable, and detail-orientedComfortable interacting with donors and stakeholdersOpen to feedback and eager to develop new skillsAble to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlinesKelda Roys for Governor is a proud equal opportunity employer; we encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds who are committed to Democratic values and building Democratic political power.
