Kettle CoordinatorYou may know The Salvation Army for our red kettles, our angel trees, and our strong presence during the Christmas season, but we support local families every season.Put a present under someone's tree today. And a roof over someone's head tomorrow.The donations we collect during the Christmas season not only help us provide gifts to children who would otherwise go without but also help us provide food, shelter, and utility assistance to those who need it most.Brighten Christmas morning. And the hardest nights for hardworking families.Every dollar dropped into a red kettle helps give local families the Christmases they deserve and the yearlong support they so desperately need.Help us carry the spirit of Christmas throughout the year.The Chilton area Kettle Coordinator is responsible for performing daily tasks necessary for running the Red Kettle Campaign in Chilton, Stockbridge, and Sherwood.Essential Functions:Recruiting and signing up volunteer bell ringers & groups (ads, emails, letters, phone calls, meetings) and establishing dates, times and locationsContacting via phone or email volunteer bell ringers to schedule ringing timesCall local businesses to sign them up for kettle sponsorshipSend letters to local businesses about Chilton Chamber Match DayOrganizing kettle pick-upsManaging campaign website for volunteer sign-upsResponsible for sorting kettle money with volunteers by applicable guidelinesResponsible for transferring money to bank for processing per applicable guidelinesResponsible for entering daily funds into online SA tracker (to be determined by local Service Rep or BOL Director)Drop off and pick up kettlesPromote bell ringing opportunities in the community (newspaper, church bulletins, groups/organizations)Maintain Kettle Equipment – Keep clean and inspect for damageThank you notes to volunteers and kettle locations by email or letter. At end of season letting each location know how much was collected.Make copies of checks dropped in kettles and get them to BOL DirectorComplete end of season paperwork and turn it into BOL DirectorHave all/any information needed on jump driveMinimum Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.Education: N/ACertifications: Valid driver's license with approval to drive from TSA's insurance carrier required.Experience: Dealing with people in a customer service or sales roleThe Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
