Kids Care WorkerShadow Mountain Community Church - El Cajon, CA 92019OverviewPosition Type: Part Time Job Shift: Any Education Level: None Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Category: OtherDescriptionThe goal of Kids Care is to provide quality care for our kids through a cooperative partnership between ministries, parents, and staff. We serve our kids with the love of Jesus Christ. We provide Kids Care for the ministries on the Shadow Mountain Main Campus as well as our Venue Campuses. Our events are 7 days a week in the morning, afternoon and evenings when requested by our various ministries. Flexible hours are available depending on your schedule and events available. Bilingual a plus. If you love to teach or are artistic, there are many opportunities for you to use those skills.Duties/ResponsibilitiesCares for and attends to the needs of children in Kids Care including changing, feeding, and monitoring their activities and playtime.Oversees games, recreational activities, and snacks for children in a group setting.Teaches or assists in activities such as Bible story lessons and arts and crafts.Cleans and sanitizes toys, furniture, and play equipment after each event.Performs other related duties as assignedQualificationsMust love working with children and have the availability and flexibility to work when our needs arise.Excellent communication skills with parents, volunteers, and other staff members.Ability to be patient and understanding when working with children and interacting with parents and volunteers.Have an extensive knowledge of childcare principles and procedures.Ability to relate to children and make Kids Care a safe, enjoyable, and faith-based atmosphere.Must be a member, or be willing to become a member, of Shadow Mountain Community Church, and must attend weekly services.Bilingual a plus.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and frequent bending.Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.At least one year of related childcare experience preferred.CPR and Mandated Reporter Certifications will be required within 30 days of being hired.Must pass Live Scan Fingerprint check.Report to: Director of Kids Care Purpose of Position: To serve the children, families, and ministries of Shadow Mountain Community Church in a sacrificial, caring, and professional manner, adopting the attitude of "people over program."
