Housekeeper PositionA busy, active Brooklyn household of four is seeking a seasoned housekeeper to join its team. The home has two children, both of whom have nannies. This home has a rooftop garden, and you will be responsible for it as well. The family is looking for a fluent Spanish speaker.There are two jobs open for this home!The schedule can be:Full-time Monday through Friday or full-time with one weekend dayOne part-time weekend roleResponsibilitiesDaily and weekly responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Proactive ownership of cleaning the home- the homeowner wants someone who can take responsibility for creating and maintaining a cleaning schedule. They do not want to micromanage day-to-day tasks.Examples include routine deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., kitchen deep cleans, window screen cleaning, seasonal maintenance).The expectation is that the housekeeper notices what needs attention and plans accordingly.Laundry and household managementLaundry is a significant part of the role, including family laundry, folding and organizing, dry-cleaning logistics (drop-off/pick-up, and scheduling)Outdoor space maintenance- rooftop gardenOversee inventoryMaking bedsGeneral tidying up in common areasKeep the kitchen tidy, including loading and unloading the dishwasher and taking out the trashMaintaining organization/figuring out new systems when neededCoordinate effectively with vendors, staff, and principals within a busy family environmentQualificationsSelf-directed and proactiveOrganized and detail-orientedExperienced with household systems and schedulesComfortable working in a staffed householdStrong communicatorRequirementsAble to handle both housekeeping and light household-management responsibilitiesExperienced with laundry and garment careThe housekeeper must be comfortable working around other household staff and family members.Good communication skills are important for coordinating schedules and tasks.Salary and BenefitsDOE pay ranges from $40-50 per hourHealth stipendPTO
