About the Opportunity:

The KPO Engineer supports the Kaizen initiatives by analyzing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing lean tools. They work closely with the Site KPO Leader to execute continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for waste reduction.

Develop and implement lean tools (5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, etc.).

Support Kaizen workshops and document improvements.

Provide technical expertise in process improvement and problem-solving.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes.

Must be self-motivated, result oriented with a sense of urgency and adaptability

Understanding of mechanical, components, machine design & building Mechanical, wiring, plumbing including pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge.

Operating knowledge of the following machines such as manual lathes, mills, saws, press brakes, welding machines and all power tools is preferred.

Process improvements which include, people, material and information flow, mistake proofing, quick change fixturing, standardization, quick and hands-free clamping, and hands-free loading and unloading.

Travel to other Pursuit sites to participate and lead kaizen workshops.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

+5 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

CAD knowledge preferred.

Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.

Must be able to work primarily on shop floor environment.

Working Conditions:

Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.

Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
